OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN or OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

Salary Range: $33,200 to $56,100
Job Type: Non-exempt, Permanent, Full-time

Position Summary: This position will be a member of the levee and ditch mowing team during the summer months. They will be using a John Deere tractor mower to complete this annual mowing. Other duties will include operation of vehicles and heavy-duty equipment, including trucks and trailers, herbicide spray tanks, forklift, hydro-seeders. This position will also perform servicing and minor repairs to tools and equipment, perform manual labor tasks with small equipment and hand tools, perform building maintenance and application of general use herbicides, and complete paperwork associated with different administrative tasks. Work is performed in partnership with the operations crew or independently. The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to be a quick learner and work well within a team environment.

ENGINEERING INTERN

Salary Range: $17-$18 / hour
Job Type: Non-Exempt, Seasonal through end of 2019 Spring Semester/Term.  May be extended to a total of 6 months pending District Board decision.  Estimated 15/hours per week.
Benefits: Paid sick time accrual benefit and paid vacation accrual benefit equal to a rate of two (2) weeks per year. These benefits will be pro-rated based on the number of hours worked.

Position Summary: We are looking for a student intern who will participate as a member of the engineering team, helping to develop collaborative solutions for system improvements, agency improvements and special projects. This is a seasonal position that will allow someone to learn the skills and knowledge needed to advance in an engineering career.  This position works under close supervision and reports to a Professional Engineer.
