POLICY AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Hourly Wage Range: $16-$20 per hour
Job Type: Non-exempt, part-time position (20-24 hours/week). This is a 9-12 month limited duration position– may be extended or made permanent pending District Board decision.

Position Summary: Key responsibilities for this position include: ensuring the agency office is functional for the efficiency and well-being of the staff, providing the first point of contact for visitors to the District, preparing for meetings of the elected board, and assisting with planning and preparation for agency events. This position requires strong attention to detail, keen organization skills, and a professional interest in office management and public administration.

In addition, this position will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in project management, contracting and procurement, and public policy implementation. This position will have the opportunity to engage with and learn from employees at all levels of the agency.

GENERAL COUNSEL
Salary Range: $97,374 – $155,798
Job Type: Exempt; Permanent; Full Time

Position Summary: We are looking for a General Counsel to serve as the primary legal counsel for the District and lead the Legal functions and strategy of the District. In addition, this position oversees other Legal Counsel positions within the District. The position reports directly to the Executive Director. The position is responsible for providing general legal counsel to the District, policy guidance and language, and contract, project, and budget oversight.

SENIOR ENGINEER
Salary Range: Engineer $77,060-123,295 or Supervising Engineer $89,332-142,931
Job Type: Exempt; Permanent; Full Time

Position Summary: The Senior Engineer will provide technical leadership to help manage the flood risk reduction system including construction, engineering, operations, and maintenance in the district as required for continued improvement of the levee system. The position will fall in either the Engineer or Supervising Engineer classification depending on the applicant’s qualifications. This position reports directly to the Flood Control Director/Chief Engineer.
