OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN (TEMPORARY)

This position is a temporary hire for an estimated duration of 600 hrs.
The operations and maintenance assistant technician performs a variety of tasks including the operation of vehicles and heavy-duty equipment, including trucks and trailers, herbicide spray tanks, and hydro-seeders. The assistant also performs servicing and minor repairs to tools and equipment, perform manual labor tasks with small equipment and hand tools, perform building maintenance and application of general use herbicides, and complete paperwork associated with different administrative tasks. Work is performed in partnership with the operations crew or independently. The position reports to the Crew Leader.

Annual Salary: Project Manager $64,297 – $102,875; Senior Project Manager $74,167 – $118,667
This position is responsible for a portfolio of projects within Levee Ready Columbia (LRC) along with a host of inter-agency coordination and capacity building with project partners. The Levee Ready Columbia Project Manager’s portfolio of projects will include capital project planning including project alternative development, coordination and development of alternatives with a technical advisory committee, and communications and public affairs activities with other program staff. The ideal candidate for this position will be nimble and self-directing as they will need to direct individual workplans on multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in project planning with demonstrable results. The Project Manager reports to the Levee Ready Columbia Program Manager.

This position is responsible for a diverse portfolio of communications projects and actions. Levee Ready Columbia (LRC) is a complex, multifaceted organization with communications needs on many levels and topics. The Public Affairs and Communications Manager will be responsible for leading efforts to focus and guide external communications with stakeholders and the public. In their role, they will ensure consistent messaging, timely dissemination of information, and proactive engagement with decision-makers and agency staff at a variety of levels. The primary responsibilities of the Public Affairs and Communications Manager will be to lead a host of outreach activities to promote communications program goals and ensure continued collaboration and partnership with stakeholders. This multi-layered communications effort will reach target audiences using a variety of in-person, online, phone, and printed communication tools. The ideal candidate for this position will be nimble and self-directing. The Public Affairs and Communications Manager reports to the Levee Ready Columbia Program Manager.
