Sandy Drainage Improvement Company was established in 1917. SDIC has many small and medium sized businesses, public land, and undeveloped vacant land. Major properties include the Troutdale Airport and Nacco Materials Handling Group. The district lies within the jurisdictions of the City of Fairview and the City of Troutdale.
